The predecessor of the G98 Mauser. This was the "Commission Rifle" and most of them were produced by Ludwig & Lowe. The majority were sold as surplus before World War II. Some of them went to Turkey where they were later rebuilt in 8mm Mauser. You still see these from time to time but the ammo they were chambered for is nonexistent. So they are wall hangers.
The Enfield No.4 MK.1 is a good rifle. It is chambered for .303 British, and the magazine holds ten rounds. .303 British is very hard to find in surplus ammo any more. These rifles still show up with the wholesalers from time to time, and usually run about $200 in good condition. Most of the ones I have seen in the last few years have had some patching to the wood, but the metal was in pretty decent condition.
